I am a stay at home mom to two little ones. Of course as a
stay at home mom my job is to run the family and household but I think my most
important job is to keep my family healthy and safe. Through the years I have
found that many of the convention food, cleaning products, toys, household items, and beauty products
we had were filled with toxic chemicals and untested ingredients. Our lives
changed the moment I discovered I could do so much more to improve my health
and protect the health of the beautiful little babies I had. No one else could
make such a difference in their lives and as their mother it is my
responsibility to do everything I can to raise them in a healthy environment.
Changing to a more natural, healthy, clean life did not
happen overnight. It has been slightly over 5 years since we began our journey
to purely natural living and everyday I am learning more and more.
I read a lot and
research everything in order to find the simplest and greenest solution to all
of our problems. For me the best thing to do is to make a couple small changes at a time until
they feel natural and then moving on to something else. Doing too much at once
can make me feel overwhelmed and I eventually give up.
I post what I have discovered in my research, what I beleive to be true, and what works best for my family. Everyone is different and every family is different what works
for one may not work for others. My biggest tip for anyone is to read, research, learn how
others do things and then develop your own system or way of life that works for
you.
I love to hear what others think and how they work through
their problems to find the right solution for them. You can learn a lot about
yourself and others by listening to someone else and their reasoning behind the things they do. In our society we
learn how to quickly justify everything to suit our own needs but it is the
times when we step back and really look at something from all angles that we
find out who we truly are. So please comment I would love to hear about your experiences, your questions, and your thoughts!
